When a presidential embargo banned imports of European food into Russia, a small but brave Italian salumeria in Moscow told us:


“Do whatever it takes. We need sales”.

Don Giulio Zompi, owner of Don Giulio Salumeria, that made the famous guerilla ad "First Ad That Prefers To Hide".

It ended with journalists
all over the world covering
the 21-square-metre deli

(The deli is alive and kicking.
After a storm of interviews, Giulio went on to open a restaurant called
La Scarpetta)
